Part of trail was closed and had to detour on road, not sure if this still counts. Started at sunrise from mile 0 and ran counterclockwise carrying everything I needed in my running vest. Lots of scenic views, a great route.
Editor's note: Joseph's detour around the trail closure at 7 Mile & Newcosta is comparable to the trail section there, and approved per our standard procedures for trail reroutes. We discussed two other departures from the GPX on our site: at Brower Park, there appears to be a loop trail, and he took the shorter side, closer to the lake, which is a suitable alternative. Finally, he followed a Strava segment through Sandy Beach County Park instead of the official trail. Future attempts should follow the official trail through that section. -NB
