The goal of this route was to connect what I consider to be the three most prominent peaks of the Palmer area in a day human powered. I used a commuter bike with a rack and frame bag to carry a change of clothes, fuel, shoes, a hiking pole and a jurek UD running vest. I stared with Government peak and left from home around 3:15am, biked to government peak trailhead at Government peak recreation area, my wife met me there and we hiked government peak via the race trail and descended via blue berry knoll, I then rode my bike home took a shower ate breakfast repacked my bags and began biking to Pioneer peak. Two friends who were also doing Pioneer peak met me at the trailhead and climbed to the South summit with me, they then continued on to try and bag the North summit and I descended back to the trailhead and my bike. Then I biked to the McRoberts creek (Mat peak) trail head and was met by my wife and two other friends, they brought me a burger and fries as well as some coffee and coconut water. We used the direct route to ascend and descent Matanuska peak arriving back at the trailhead around midnight, I then biked home finishing before 2 a.m.
