After starting and I started The Black Canyon Trail Friday, November 12th at 5:37 in the morning. I left carrying 4.5 liters of water, 2 cokes, and 16 ounces of juice. I also carried 5 gels, a snickers, payday, chips, 6 small boiled potatoes, random candy and a chicken breast. After starting at the border of the Prescott National Forest and heading south I crossed the first water at 5 miles and refilled a 1/2 liter bottle so I was leaving mile 5 fully loaded down. I made it another 40ish miles and was with-in 2 miles of the Agua Fria river before running out of water. The river was at mile 46 and not 44.5 as I had thought or I would have been spot on. I refilled my water at 46 and again when I crossed the Agua Fria at mile 48. Both times crossing the river I made it a point to also cool off in the water, but unfortunately by then the heat of the day (95 degrees) had gotten to me from mile 48 on I could not hold any solid food down. Covering the last 30 miles at a walking pace made for a long night.
