I started at Gosford Waterfront just before 3.30am and headed out along the path to Point Clare and up into Brisbane Waters National Park in the dark. It was nice looking out over Gosford with all the lights and so peaceful in the bush. The sun started to rise while going along Woy Woy Waterfront so I had lovely views watching the day wake up over Brisbane Water. Then headed up into Bouddi National Park and down into Kincumber then up Kincumber Mountain. After heading up into Rumbalara I was back into Gosford. I continued along until I found a water fountain and a seat. I refilled my water bladder and got some more food out of the back of my pack then headed off to do it all again. I again got more water at Woy Woy and Bouddi. It felt good going up into Kincumber Mountain the second time and I knew I only had one more big hill to go. A couple out on a bush walk stopped me to ask me for directions when I got to the top of Rumbarala so I told them the way and I got on my way down to the finish.
