I started just after 6am at Bucketty as day was breaking. Headed down the road and after about 5km turned off onto the trail. Trail was a bit overgrown and a few trees down then it became very rocky and lots of tree debris on the track. Between the Clares Bridge and Ten Mile Hollow Campsite I saw a lady walking towards the bridge, she was a Monk from the Monastery just down the road. This was the only person I saw all day. I stopped at the campsite and filled up with water then headed towards Wisemans Ferry. I saw a goanna as it scurried up a tree. There were so many wildflowers out along the track. At Wisemans Ferry I turned around and headed back. Saw the same (I think) goanna on the way back. I again stopped at Ten Mile Hollow campsite and refilled with water. Then headed on my way. In total there was 70km of rocky tree debris trail and 24km of well maintained Firetrail or road. My partner Dave was waiting at the finish for me.
