Ran the taconic crest trail for my 40th b day. I Wasn't even intending on going for the FKT but I beat the time so figured I'd add it. I left a small drop at the end of Madden Road right before you enter the trail and another on Taconic Trail Road at the trailhead. It was a super windy and wet day. Trail conditions were super leafy in definitely not ideal for an fkt. There is also a ton of blowdowns on trail. Twice I got off Trail for a little bit and had to back track but probably only a half mile - mile extra. All around fun day and pretty cool Trail.
