This route has been on my bucket list ever since Kim Levinsky shared it last August. I've done a few of the more popular trails (Bear Mountain area, Breakneck ridge) but about 80% of it was new to me. Highlights were all the great ridge line running with beautiful views on a nice, clear day. Lowlights included the 1777 trail (which is always flooded) and a few miles of trash trails (blowdown, leaves, mud pits). Great variety in the loop and those bad sections just make you appreciate the good sections more!
Ran unsupported, carried about 5000 calories of mostly tailwind. This time of year it's pretty easy to find water but the long road sections and Bull Hill / Breakneck sections got a bit dry. Navigation was difficult in spots, especially at night, but that's part of the fun.
