Nice weather today and it has been relatively dry this week, so I gave this course a try, not quite knowing what to expect. Trails turned out to be a bit muddier, wetter and less maintained than expected in spots. Most of the tougher stuff was in the first 10 miles - the last half is flatter, less technical, well-traveled, and a bit drier.
Notes on navigation/trails - made quite a few wrong turns which added to the distance a bit - I think a clean run should probably net about 22.5 miles. There was some construction around mile 15 but a worker let me through and there was just a minor re-route of trails there. This is a really tough loop to navigate if you haven't seen it before - there are just a lot of trail intersections and nearby parallel trails. It also seems like a route that should be done after a long dry spell.
Ran unsupported, 1L of tailwind. Cooler temperatures today so didn't bring the filter, but there were a lot of spots I could have filled up if I wanted to!
