I started off late in the morning at around 11.30AM. It was a cold, rainy, windy day, but the wind came from the side so mostly there was no headwind. Because it was cold and rainy it was ideal for an unsupported approach as I could run with a limited amount of water.
Things went well. I got held up for about 10 minutes at a bridge that was up to let pass through some boats. Otherwise, I might have tried to push on for a sub 5 hour.
Was a fun day out and nice to get some FKT excitement!
