I am currently sailing around the world with my husband (benkatekoda.com) and we are in La Grande-Motte (LGM), France to have some boat work done. I was looking for a FKT on this website for future months and saw this route so close so I had to do it. Ben and Matt dropped me off at the trailhead and went for breakfast. I carried nothing because it was less than an hour and no one joined me for any portion. Cool course with a mix of wide dirt road (non trafficked) with lots of large puddles, a short bit of pavement, some beach and then more trail ending with a little mud. Freezing this morning and skirt was probably the wrong call again. Started and ended at the parking lot side of the the fence squeeze closest to the camera in the first picture, which also required opening and closing of the gate (in the last picture) less than 100m in coming and going. There was another metal gate near the end that I used my long legs to step over. In the beach picture with my shadow in the distance is LGM and a bunch of sailboat masts. One of them is our boat, Koda!! Thanks Vulker Buschka for creating the route and getting me to explore a new area while the boat is being fixed up! I have messaged some of the fast women that have run segments of this route so hopefully we will see some faster times soon!
