"Trail runner's dream" was the right description for this birthday fun run yesterday. It's literally too pretty to run too fast through (so if you're going to go take more time off, turn on your blinders for the first half). The trail was in excellent condition, with just one spot with enough overgrowth to obscure where the trail continues on the other side of Pepper Creek Road. My only caution for those going for time on the route is that GPS watches seem to have a hard time... It seems like all brands end up with bonus distance from the close tree cover and rolling ups and down, which does add up when you think it's a 14-15 mile route and end up with almost an extra mile.
I recommend this trail to anyone and it was a perfect birthday for me and first FKT attempt for Janelle!
