This submission is part of my personal project, the Atlantic States Seaboard Tour where I attempted an FKT route in each state, on back-to-back days. There are 14 contiguous states that follow the Atlantic Coast Shoreline: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

A full trip report will be posted on natureorbust.com within one week.

When I was looking for an FKT route in the state of Delaware, I wanted to focus on a national landmark. I saw that the First State National Historic Park did not have an FKT route and it is such an iconic park!  So on 9/29 I hiked this route which avoids private land. I decided to run the route on 10/08 at 9:39am for time. There were quite a few hikers and bike riders on parts of this trail. It's beautiful and a real Delaware gem!
