Took train from Medlow to Lawson. Just wore a Naked belt with 500ml of water, a 90g gel and poles. It was sunny, but slightly chilly to start. The early shady creek crossings were still damp after the overnight frost and I managed to wrench a shoulder after slipping at one of them.
This route is mostly steeply up or steeply down, with only the the Wenty section and the last 3-4km runnable. There are a couple of mandatory creek crossings, but only shin deep.
The only people I came across (outside Wenty & Medlow townships) were a couple of bushwalking mates near Medlow.
The Lawson end is quite overgrown and signage is poor to non-existant, so expect to have to pause to check the route occasionally. Once you hit Mt Hay Rd, nav becomes a lots easier.

Great effort Keith!
The navigation challenge adds a little bit extra to the route haha I set my time on my 4th run through which is a definitely an advantage but I still use my watch for the nav. Too many twists and turns to remember.
Look forward to seeing you take down the FKT next time.
