I filed this as supported as my running partner Brendan ran with me but did not record the run. Beautiful weather morning and it was finally not sweltering hot!  For CT standards this route is very runnable and only had small section of more technical (rocks and roots) about 3/4 of the way thru. The start itself you need choose the trail to the right to start that wasn't clear as the G for Goodwin trail marker is beyond where you can see it.  It was easier to follow in the beginning but we needed to stop multiple times to figure out which way to go as some of the trail markers are way past the turn you need decide on. There are a lot feeder trails off from Goodwin trail that make it more challenging. We did make 2 wrong turns one onto the road and then backtracked and realized trail didn't cross road we needed stay in the woods. I believe right around Gungy Road between mile 9 and 10.  The other we made was 10 and 11 we ended up on the spur yellow circle not the G but that disappeared and the other choice was red orange blaze, we thought yellow since G blaze yellow. We actually needed take orange/red blaze for Goodwin.  We did backtrack each time.  So heads up when hit mile 9!  But overall it was fun trail and not too challenging in elevation. With not too much rain the trail was in great shape and not muddy at all. The area itself is beautiful so well worth the time to visit this area of CT.
