My sister Kristy and I decided to get a women's time up for this course. The weather was perfect, the trails were dry, and the leaves had started to change so it was a perfect day. We ran a bit faster than our normal training runs, but didn't go all out until the end when Kristy starting getting notifications about her watch battery being low. Luckily I was able to figure out how to load the gpx file of the trail on my watch because usually we find this trail difficult to follow. The woods were pretty quiet with a few hikers and bikers. We didn't see too much wildlife, but did get a good view of a praying mantis with prey, and got to jump over a small snake at the end when we were going fast. We love this park and would be happy to come back and set a new fastest time!
