I was lucky to have dry trail conditions and a somewhat cooler summer morning for this run, and was harassed by only one deerfly for a few miles. I also had some familiarity with the route before attempting it (for once!), which is definitely helpful, since I ran Cat Mountain/High Falls in early spring and Cranberry Lake 50 in early summer. That said, this route is very easy to follow, with only 3 intersections each way, all of them clearly marked. Many thanks to Erika Zazzara for submitting this route--this is a solid run, and it's nice to see the western Adirondacks get a little attention! It's not the high peaks, but these trails are beautiful, with views of Cranberry Lake and numerous small ponds.
