This was a truly enjoyable route, despite it being my first real mountain run since last year. It began raining about halfway through, but this turned out to be a nice route even in less than perfect weather. There are no exposed sections to worry about in inclement weather, the terrain is relatively gentle for the Catskills, and there is a nice stream near the turnaround point. The trailhead parking area was a bit small, and was full by the time I left.
