I ran by myself for the entirety of the trail, carrying my own water and snacks. I started at the Ute Pass trailhead and followed the trail to the top of Ute peak. I followed the crest of the range, while the trail disappeared and reappeared from time to time. I summited Ptarmigan Peak and ran the Ptarmigan Peak trail down to the trailhead. There were some difficult climbs, but spectacular views and weather.
