I started the route at 09:50 at Hawkenbury Recreation Ground and took and anti-clockwise direction. I carried 1 litre of water in soft pouches and also 600ml in a reserve bottle in my backpack. I carried sufficient food for the whole route consisting of ham/cheese, shortbread, mountain fuel jelly and energy bars. I did not resupply with water and only ate a small amount of the food. The waiter was cool 12C and cloudy for most of the time, with a light breeze from the north. I ran alone for the whole distance.
