Decided to commence 2021 with my first F.K.T. attempt. New Lipchis Way is on my doorstep; all be it, I have never took on the challenge to undertake the route as a whole.
The terrain was extremely challenging and tough on the legs. The first 5k from where you join the Sussex border path just outside Liphook had a lot of groundwater and very muddy, and again around the Heyshott area - you can see this from the video I have uploaded. Would recommend attempting the route after a dry spell.
Temperature also didn't make it above freezing for the full day; luckily, I had the relevant cold gear on the upper body. I had planned to remove this if I were to overheat, needless to say, this did not happen.
I completed the route unsupported with the following nutrition: 2 litres of fluid, 6 SIS gels, Cashew nuts, a snickers and a banana.
