If you can't climb El Cap might as well run it! Not your average autumn day in Yosemite Valley! Was a toasty week with highs in the 70s-80s during the day and started this run 2 hours later than I should've... oops. It's been a Halloween tradition for the past 6-7 years to be in the Valley and wanted to take a crack at the FKT on this route while I was here! Not the best conditions or my best level of fitness in still dealing with a lower leg overuse injury but I'm damn proud of the effort on it! Brought 3 flasks of water and all my own fuel for the run. Regretted not having poles for the descent down the Yosemite Falls trail. I still stand by my opinion that that trail is the most technical in the whole park. Thankfully not a lot of people to dodge on this day though. A few downed trees to navigate around/over but trail was in great shape otherwise and didn't see a single person in the last 4 miles to the top of El Cap! Yosemite runs always come packaged with incredible views and a good ass-kicking ;P
Get after it ladies!
