I began a solo thru-hike of the Lone Star Hiking Trail on the morning of 12/26 at 8:15am. Due to hunting season, I was required to stay in certain designated campsites along the trail. I began at the Eastern terminus (TH15) and hiked Westbound. Day 1 (12/26) - 12.9 miles hiked. Camped at the primitive site in the Tarkington Section. Day 2 (12/27) - 15.0 miles hiked. Camped at Primitive Site 2 in the Magnolia Section. Day 3 (12/28) - 17.3 miles hikes. Camped at the Karoyli site. Day 4 (12/29) - 18.3 miles Camped in Huntington State Park. Day 5 (12/30) - 17.3 miles. Camped at the Stubblefield overflow camp. Final day (12/31) - 19.7 miles. Finished at the Western Terminus (TH1). I placed one food cache along the trail - on Evelyn Lane near the Phelps Trailhead. I picked it up towards the end of my fourth day and it contained food for the remainder of the trail.
