One night in my tent next to Møkeren(the lake) before my fkt attempt startet just before 8 in the morning. Grey weather, a few drops late in the run. Rained the day before but no water in the trail, but the trails are pretty overgrown in places with wet brush and grass so my feet where soaked from start to finish. But no problem with my feet.
I enjoyed the trails and the old Finn settlements along the route. I didnt meet a single person on the route, only saw a biker on a short stretch of gravel road. Normally I would take more time around the old wooden buildings but I was on a mission. Just some quick photos before I hurried along.
Not to many places to fill my water bottles, so autumn is a great time to run this course, in a dry,hot summer you will struggle. I recommend a water filter. Started with 3 500ml softflasks of water and 2 250ml softflasks with 200g sugar an a little water each, also had a Japp. No resupply other than water from a few creeks.
Chose to start where the route originally starts as far as I can see even though the holders of the FKT now startet at Austmarka.
