As I didn't have crew for this C2C out-and-back attempt, I would have to go either self-supported or unsupported. I decided for unsupported and opted to carry an extra water bottle and all the calories that I needed. There were 2 public toilets that I took water refill from - MacRitchie Reservoir Park (~20km and 55km) and Punggol Waterway (~33km and 42km). And knowing that I could switch to self-support style if I needed to, using the petrol kiosks along the way, I felt safe.

Started the run at 22:55 at night to avoid the heat and traffic. I was hoping for some rain but the weather stayed fair. The run was pretty uneventful until I was only a few steps away from what looked like a black spitting cobra along the dimly lit Kheam Hock Road on the return. That really woke me up. A pleasant surprise was the cool wind during day-break. That allowed me to comfortably finish the run slightly earlier than I had expected.
