At 5AM on July 27th I started the Tahoe Rim Trail clockwise from Tahoe City. When I finished the loop back at Tahoe City, I retraced my steps counterclockwise to switch things up. I think both directions are wonderful! I was crewed and, at times, paced by my lovely and supportive husband, Eric, who met me at each road crossing with our minivan, which I also slept in each night, making this an enjoyable experience the entire way. The TRT is a grade A trail and seeing it twice made it even better, I think someone else should get out here immediately!!
