My husband and I started from the trailhead a little after 6am. We had to verify our registration to enter the national park with the attendant first, and then set off up the rough 4x4 road. We carried our own calories and water. We reached the summit of the volcano approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes in which yielded little views as we were in the clouds. We then turned around for the descent. It was an amazing trail surrounded by lush jungle and would be highly recommended to anyone exploring Panama.
