While working to complete our goal of the Catskill 35ers, we started our unsupported hike at 8:44 AM on a cool August morning to accomplish the Six. A challenging hike with nearly 70% bushwhacking to summit six 35ers. Our first for the day was Friday, over to Balsam Cap, then Rocky, next Lone, over to Table and last to Peekamoose.
The bush whacking was through thick pines forest connecting each of these mountains. There were some heard paths near the summits but mostly you had to navigate over. The weather warmed up throughout the day and we had clear skies for our views. Lots of time on our feet, but smiles on as we were on trail down to our cars.
