Enjoyed the nice cruising 21 miles of descent from Slate. PCT was dependable as always for flowing well maintained trails. Less than 15 blowdowns encountered on the route, gratitude to the forest service. What the route lacked in felled trees, made up for in blueberries. Tried to jog the last two switch backs to the pass and was totally gassed. Cool weather really helped and the smoke had not yet arrived. Startling transition when arriving to Seattle Monday evening.
