One of those rare days where everything goes perfectly (except for bashing my shin on a rock while trying to take a photo without stopping). Went through the Met Station gate at opening time around 6am to make sure I could beat the cloudy and rainy weather that usually rolls in every afternoon. I had to hire a guide to get through the gate via park policy but he ran separately and finished a few hours behind me. Easy navigation, clear route, and stunning summit. Only a few places to fill up water along the way - really just one stream on the way up at around 4000m and then another on the way coming down about 5km or so from the finish. The last 100m or so of climbing had some interesting Class III moves which were a welcome change of pace and took the edge off the attitude. The way down was steep, but not as steep as the last section going up. Overall a very flowy ascent and descent with tons of runnable sections. The farther you descent the runnable it gets with a lovely grade. Spectacular route and not hard to do in a day if acclimatized and in shape.

Spent a few days in Iten and then two nights at Naro Moru before the run to acclimatize.
