Kyle Skaggs set the FKT on Sept. 23-24, 2006, 20:53 (fully supported). Skaggs' fast time may have discouraged others from attempting all-out, supported trips, as for many years most subsequent efforts were unsupported. Prior to Skaggs the FKT was by John Stamstad at 24h01m set in 2003. His trip was reported in the May 2004 issue of UltraRunning Magazine.
