On a whim, maybe a month ago, I asked Gabriele’s best friend to go for the fastest known time ever on a trail around Mount Hood called The Timberline trail. As seen in previous posts, this is not an easy venture. 40 miles with 10k ft of vert. I think her response was, let’s do it! So, we set out and did it this morning. She didn’t know I was going to turn this into a fundraiser for the foundation, but I think this got her even more excited.
Well, today @ladiahallie ran 7:02:48 breaking Lynn Harmon’s record of 7:15:17 from 1982. That is 37 years old!
The views were overwhelming, but lately I’m more overwhelmed and so grateful for the support you all have given to the foundation. I see every donation that comes in, and every dollar means more to me than many of you will ever know. I’m so full of gratitude for all of you. But today I’m even more full of gratitude for Gabriele’s ability to find such a great group of girls to keep me going when life gets hard, even you @abigailande.
