This is an amazing course through the Dublin Mountains with views of Dublin City and the sea. It is mostly runnable trail with 3-8 miles of road on either end mixed in. The highest point, Fairy Castle, gets quite rocky so it definitely a bit technical on both the ascent and descent. We completed this out and back run in about 13 hours total (12:34:52 moving time) and were supported by friends who came to cheer us on. There are plenty of carparks, trailheads, and sections of road for impromptu aid / cheering stations (listed below for ref). The route is well marked as the DMW (Dublin Mountain Way) throughout.
