Second attempt for an FKT on the Guernsey round. As described by the other runners, it is a route with two faces; one part is flat, the other along the coast cliffs with quite some elevation changes and stairs. Therefore I did decide not to start in St Peter Port, but in Vazon beach in order to start with a flat 20 km.
Concerning the route there is a very small deviation of the original route due to road closure due to an active army range with 'red flags' during the attempt. Photos attached.
I did aim for a self-supported FKT, however, due to a battery issue of my watch I had to call for support in terms of a battery pack. Therefore it counts as a supported FKT attempt.
For future runners the route itself is very suitable for self-supported attempts with loads of kiosks and public water taps along the way. Highly recommended, beautifull route and a great adventure :)
