Yesterday my friend Scott Jenkins and I ran the entire Fox Way, starting and finishing in Godalming, Surrey - it’s a circular route around Guildford and what beautiful weather we had - blue skies and barely a cloud in the sky all day. We ran the route in an anti clockwise direction and were unsupported, carrying everything we needed for the run. We started at 10am and finished in the dark.

The Fox Way showcases some of the very best views that the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer; from woodlands, grasslands and farmlands to urban and river-side scenery, we saw amazing views of the North Downs, Wembley Stadium, the city of London, the silent Pool, Newark Priory and the River Wye – it was hilly, it was muddy, it was Sandy, it was flooded, we bushwhacked our way through woods and climbed over and under numerous fallen trees along with running on some really lovely runnable trails. It was a brilliant adventure and a great training run for our upcoming challenges. For me the Keys 100, Grand Union Canal Race and Badwater 135 and for Scott, Cocodona 250 (yes that is a 250 mile ultra marathon!!)
