What an incredible route! Tyler and I weren't totally sure what to expect going into this one, especially after reading about the overgrowth and the section that requires traveling directly through Drift Creek. It ended up being such a fun adventure and one of the coolest routes we've done.

There is some really great, runnable singletrack on both sides of the creek. A few sections are definitely overgrown, but we found everything totally doable and surprisingly easy to follow for how remote it feels.

The creek section is easily the slowest part of the route, but also what makes it so special. Traveling right through Drift Creek surrounded by ridiculously lush, green forest was absolutely beautiful. We even came across a pool full of salmon, which was completely unexpected and probably the highlight of the day.

The creek was low enough for us to travel through comfortably, although I can definitely see how different this route would be after significant rain.

We filtered water from the creek, took in the scenery, and had a ridiculously good time exploring this little pocket of the Coast Range.

And after actually doing the route, we have a big appreciation for Tyler Wilson's FKT. Moving through this terrain in 2:29 is seriously impressive, the creek alone slows you down so much!

Such a beautiful, weird, adventurous route. So green, so fun, and absolutely worth doing in the right conditions. 🌲✨
