I started the route in Tetsworth rather than Shabbington as it seemed more convenient from where I live but it was a mistake.  The section of this route from Shabbington to Sydenham is the 'scrappest' section of the route with lots of change of direction and very little signage so I would have been better doing that at the beginning rather than the end when I was fatigued.

Overall, the route is very nice and flat, through lots of nice villages and countryside.  There is quite a bit of road running and although most of it is on quiet village roads,  there is a small section near Haddenham which has you running on a 60mph A road for a few hundred metres so take care there.

Also, even though this route sounds quite formal with an official name and it's own web site, it is actually very poorly signed on the ground and can be difficult to follow so make sure you take a GPS device with the route on it and keep a careful eye on it as you go.

As my first FKT attempt, I found it really interesting and I definitely learned a lot in the process.

I did the route unsupported and carried all my own food and water but there were several shops along the way in the small villages if you did need them.
