On May 10.th I completed the entire Albsteig (Schwarzwald) route in 11:23:54 hours, therefore beating the previous FKT. I was visiting a friend in the area and thought it would be great to fit this run in as a very long long run in preperation for my second 100 miler at the ZUT. Took a train from Freiburg to the start and started at point 7:30 in the morning. Conditions were great (as first, as it later turned really hot). Never stopped the watch nor did I use any outside help. I‘d recommend taking at least 1.5l of water in summer, as the first 40k are rather scarce in natural water sources.
I dedicated this run to the German Federal Association for Multiple Sclerosis and added a link to the Strava activity where can donate money to the research in that field.
Overall beautiful route with a more draining elevation profile than I first thought.
