Completed the GB Ultras 'Beacons Way Ultra' which follows the entire Beacons Way route from Abergavenny to Llangadog (East to West). The weather was absolutely perfect - overcast, high teens and a gentle tailwind. The race had 9 aid stations throughout, some of which were a little off the national trail which is why the distance is a little longer than the official route. Small diversion just North of Llanbedr due to a footbridge being down, but again this added distance rather than shortening the route.

The route is fantastic, particularly if you like bracken and sheep. Difficult to navigate in places, particularly the last third, so would really recommend a gpx track on your watch or some decent maps. I was very lucky to be supported by my girlfriend at aid stations for the first 14 hours, and my friend ran the last 55km with me too to keep morale high!

GB Ultras put on a brilliant event - I'd highly recommend utilising that if you're going to attempt this as a supported FKT.
