Horrendous. After a tough week physically & mentally between training and traveling and emotional stress, my legs were so heavy from the start. Didn’t bring salt tabs because I didn’t think that was going to be an issue but by the time I got to windblown my toes were cramping and I was covered in salt. As I started heading down Watatic I fell, on nothing, and landed on my back & laid crying for a little bit as my hips cramped. I came close to pulling the plug and having Jeff come get me because I was so scared to get on the bike but I don’t like not finishing what I start. Worst run I’ve had in a long ass time. Finish the run part in 4:08. New wapack PR at least. Stumble around, find my bike, I stash a water bottle which makes this self supported. Feel much better as I start rolling away even though it’s super windy and cold now. Calf is starting to cramp and I just turn my music louder. Thankfully it goes way. I feel like shit but biking makes me happy. Some teenager yells “get out of the road, retard!!!” at me and I can’t stop laughing. The steep climb to the parking lot doesn’t destroy me like I thought it would and I don’t have to get off the bike and push it like I did with the presi picnic. Make it to the trailhead in 5:47 total time. Toasted.
