Joe Davis and I (Lisa Verwys) left the upper Lady of the Lake trailhead at 3:28 a.m. on Sunday, August 9. We started our watches at the cabin. After a slight navigational error in the dark, we approached Granite Peak via the Sky Top Lakes. We climbed the southwest ramp route and found it in overall good condition, with a small amount of ice/snow in the gully. It's prime season for Granite so we saw several other parties en route and on the summit. We summited in approximately 6:50 and made it back to the trailhead in 12:38 elapsed. We had a third person in our party who opted to not climb to the summit. We carried all our own food and filtered water from the lakes. It was a beautiful day on the summit- could not have asked for better weather!
