FKT: Liz Allen, Michael Crutchley, John Peabody, Lisa Peabody - Nehantic Trail (CT) - 2020-07-26

Here we are, checking off another route on the CT FKT Challenge, but what's that? No mixed gender FKT yet recorded? Well, thank our lucky stars! 

The weather forecast called for 90F, so we started early to beat the heat. There was just no beating it. When we finished, it was 91F actual with a 95F "feels like." We proactively stashed water in the woods, which was good because other than Hopeville Pond and Green Falls Pond, there was no running water. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find an unlocked water spigot as we passed through Pachaug State Forest's camping area. We really wanted our friend Carly there, but she had to work (boooooo). 

We recommend doing this on a cooler day. :)
