Started where the AT crosses School Street in Cheshire, right next to the Community Center. It rained pretty hard the day before, so conditions were very wet and slick in places - especially on the wooden bridges and roots and for the last mile or two leading up to the summit. I would definitely try it again after a drier stretch. Overall it was a nice day - not too hot, and windy and cool at the top but the trail stays sheltered along most of the ridge and summit so that was fine. It was cloudy when I hit the summit, but still a great view. You can really get moving in the those last couple miles of downhill, though the uphill section after Notch Road is a tough little climb that late in the run. Finished where the AT crosses Pattison Road in North Adams. My first attempt at an FKT and I always love getting out for a run at Mt. Greylock, so it was a fun one.
