Out and back to Mt. Carrigain summit via Signal Ridge trail. With the leaves down, the intersections with Signal Ridge trail and Carriage are a little confusing and not marked - I was careful to follow my GPS in that area to be sure to stay on Signal Ridge after almost going awry onto Carriage. There was heavy frost on the trees along the last section of the ridge, and an inch or two of frost on the fire tower - lots of layering and de-layering today. I did go up the fire tower at the summit, it looks from the other attempts like the tower is part of the FKT route. It slowed me down a little as there were several sets of hikers and we were waiting turns to get up on the tower, but I stopped a few times along the route anyway - had to take some moments to enjoy the wintry scene at the top with fall still down below.
