This was my first attempt at an FKT between these two iconic buildings. I am sure this time can be significantly improved given it is not a long route and it is flat. The main feature of running it now (in July) is the heat (about 37 degrees Celcius) and so you will see I was not able to keep up my pace for the entire run. As with any intense run the mind plays games with you and even though the entire run was short and fast (and shorter than many of my training runs) the heat and the pressure and the excitement (and slight nervousness) at my first ever FKT meant that I had all the usual emotions including doubt. I look forward to trying that again and more than anything I hope to encourage the Dubai community to record some awesome times on this amazing route and also set other iconic FKT routes. Thank you FKT for providing a platform for exploration and self-challenge.
