Completed the AT SOBO in 52 days, 18 hours 37 minutes. Had great weather most of the time. Only 5-6 days of rain. Water sources were low due to this drought.
Averaged mid-30s through ME, NH and VT which was lower than I hoped, due to injuries related to my meniscus and quad primarily, but I kept going, hoping I could make up enough time in the Mid-Atlantic and the South.
My body felt healthy from the end of MA on so I ramped up mileage as I felt possible. Picked up speed through mid-Atlantic, and after some big days I realized I had a good shot if I could average over 43 miles a day for the rest of the trail.
The South went relatively smoothly, the detour in Erwin set me back a couple hours. My feet were deeply painful the last few weeks and sleep deprivation was an issue.
I finished on September 18th after a 55 mile, 24 hour push.
OveralI slept between 3.5-5 hours a night most nights.I sent 7 resupply boxes total and got the rest of my food at stops as close to trail as possible. My baseweight was around 7 pounds.
