I decided to go for a run while in Santa Barbara for work. This one looked great and was vaguely accessible by public transportation. I grabbed what gear I'd brought and random food, got to the station in Carpinteria (CA) and set of. Quickly realized I'd not brought enough water. Climbing up and reaching the single track I was feeling a touch of heat stroke, but hoped there would be water in the Alder creek or some accessible in Jameson lake. The footing was a bit difficult from there as I was quite dizzy, but I was lucky enough to have water in the creek.
The hills were truly glorious, and I am very grateful I got to explore them on such a clear day for better or worse. My watch seems to have struggled quite a lot, suggesting it was 30miles. I added a few miles starting from the station, but overall I followed the previous gpx I believe. I hope the overall gist is present with respect to the route and time. The route description didn't start from the station of course, so the time is a bit augmented.
I would love to come back here on a cooler day, but I hope reporting this bimble may inspire other ladies to report their runs and knock off some hours!
