It was the idea to run some rivers. I checked some in the area and looked which are possible in one day. Start was the Ruwer - from Rösterkopf in the Hunsrück down to the small suburb Ruwer with the estuary to the River Mosel.

My wife droped me out  the car at the source of the Lieser . Gave me a kiss, sended a take care and I was alone! - 80km from home in the middle of nowhere.
So starting my Garmin 935 device, which was borrowed by my friend Christian, because my Polar hasn't battery time enough.
Target for the distance of 74km was around 10 h and to do it unsupported.
I packed my bag as light as possible and started running at 09h in the morning.
During a wonderful lonely time over fields of gras and small ways I was at 10.30h in Daun - first stage, if you want to do a hiking tour ( 15km )
Searching the Blue-L-Sign downtown was not so easy, but I found the way.
Next part was along the Dauner Maar and through the forest around. Here I met a lot of people which were hiking this stage to Manderscheid. ( 18km )
The path was most of the time in the shade and the temperature around ( 22° ) was good to handle.
In Manderscheid at 12.30h I filled my flasks in a public toilet and entered the next stage to Wittlich ( 23km ). I started running of fantastic trails, very less people at this part.
You must take a lot of water with you, because the next source is more than 20km at Bastener Mühle ( Mill ). My water and my legs were gone and I searched the source!
I was happy to have my new Leki Trail Pro poles with me and so starting power (!) hiking - maybe to much long stuff in the Corona-months?
From Wittlich it becomes a litte boring over fields and ways and only some nice pathes till I lost the track.
Finish was along the Lieser at the bike way "Maare-Mosel".
At the estuary of the Lieser my daughter received me with a cold bottle of alcoholfree Erdinger-beer!
It was a long way and I missed the target around 35min - some minutes searching signs and a lot minutes of tired legs! A good experience for the brain!
