We (Mark Hemmings, Marcus Rogers, Colin Swift) set off from the Fundy National Park Headquarters under the moonlight at 3:20AM. It was a calm cool night with sunshine ahead in the forecast.
The trail was largely in good shape with a few dozen trees down as well as a large washout in the Parkway. Spirits were high and company was good as we traversed the repeated ups, downs & river crossings. Our GPX files are almost entirely accurate to the official trail GPX. The only exceptions are the diversions we needed to take to get around massive fallen trees, and the washouts.
We crossed the Salmon River suspension bridge and ran up to the Fundy Trail Parkway Interpretive Center, the official end point to the 2021 Revised Fundy Footpath official FKT.
Tech glitches: Mark's GPX file has the start about 30 meters past the Fundy Park Welcome Center (up the hill from Alma). We started at the actual Welcome Center, my GPS needed a moment to kick in. Also my (Mark's) GPX file states just over 63km, but the trail is just over 64kms. For some reason Marcus' and Colin's GPX files read 68km, but that's incorrect as the three of us travelled at the same time the whole way to the end.
