Extremely muddy in sections, especially the farm crossing where pace was reduced to wading through thigh deep mud and cow manure. On a more serious note the cows on this particular farm (Around 4km) are very aggressive and decided to charge me. I had read David Bones previous account and thought he may have been exaggerating but these things are possessed and it was only due to luck that they were not in the thigh deep field or else it would be very difficult to escape. Take care anyone attempting this route as you will be in for a shock. Other than that and the numerous rogue electric fences this is a fun route that could be done fairly quicly in summer conditions. Look out for the windmill!
