Started this run on the Illinois prairie path in Maywood on a Friday night around 6:30 pm and ended in Aurora around 10:30. It is listed as 28.5 miles from trail head to trail head but we followed a previous posted route as close as possible that had add on's to make it a 50k. I had a friend that bike along to provide lights and to carry fluids and gels. Plus a PB&J uncrustable and Pepsi that I stopped to eat around 20 miles on the clock. My wife Lisa was at a few spots along the way for pictures and support. And at the end to pick us up. It was a perfect night for a run, mid 60s light breeze and a few drops of rain along the way. There was some path construction at the end but I think we followed the route pretty close and ended with 31.28 miles.
